The start-up 'business' or project involved setting up a mini carnival. The learning outcomes were to encourage respect for diverse within group formation with a mix of lower and upper primary, financial literacy, collaborations for fun learning and the importance of 3Rs.
3 groups were formed with the upper primary being the leaders to lead the lower primary in creating games and rules of playing them.
There was a handful of tasks to accomplish prior to the launch of carnival on 17.12.2020. We designed our signages; banners with the use of recycled materials and the discussed on how much discount we should give to attract more sales. Some groups went further to grant return vouchers.
On the day of carnival, 3 groups were each awarded Highest Earnings Award, Best Teamwork Award and Best Banner Award. The earnings of all groups will be donated to a beneficiary in conjunction to our upcoming week theme, 'A Season of Giving'
